Eaten a gazillion raw oysters over the last 60 years and these were some of the best if not the best oysters on 1/2 shell I’ve ever had. Plump, cold, expertly shucked, yummy and a bakers dozen on the tray. Atmosphere funky San Leon as expected. Service excellent. Also had the fried oysters, simply awful. Heavy duty undercooked gummy over seasoned batter was disgusting. I peeled off the goop but the oysters were ruined at this point. When the server came to clear the table I pointed to the basket of left over batter goop and said they were nasty and her response was “yea they use a heavy batter”. Will be back for some raw sliders but forget about the fried nastiness.

We went here for Thanksgiving dinner and although it was “ok” but certainly not holiday worthy. This was the first time that I’d ever seen actual corn in cornbread dressing. Everything was just a conglomeration of casserole foods. However, for those who like oysters, this is supposed to be the best in the area!

This place is tops. If you like a dive bar with attitude this place is for you ! Our waitress was just as salty as us so we had a blast together then her manager introduced herself. Renatta runs this place very well. Great food items and quality drinks. The oysters were delectable. My SanLeon BLT made with fried bologna made me as happy as it did when I was a kid. This one just has a bit more food flair. Fabulous tshirts that reflect the bars attitude perfectly. This isn’t a family place by any means it’s bawdy fun of the best kind. The decor definitely says bar ! We loved this place.

Nice place off the beaten path between Galveston and Kemah. The outdoor area was great and super clean. Staff was attentive and kind. Oysters we had a bunch of different ways were great but the batter needs to be improved. Burgers were great too and the food in general was well prepared. We enjoyed this place and really didn’t know what to expect as it’s located in an area you don’t expect a restaurant and bar to be in. Oh It is nice quite no kids allowed!!
