Trattoria Croara

We went to this restaurant for the first time with our family. Excellent quality food, a real trattoria. The staff is nice. Fast service and very good price. The restaurant is spacious, it is noticeable that they haven't renovated it for years, but at the same time it is well maintained. Recommended to book.

We were very fortunate to have a friend from Bologna bring us to this restaurant, too out of the way for tourists. It was about 25-30 minutes out of Bologna. When we arrived, the place was empty but when we left, it was full. The food was excellent and the service was very attentive. We let our Bolognese friend order for us and we never saw a menu. Just let them bring typical local food to you. The pasta was out of this world as was everything else especially the bread. Again here, I can’t think of it’s name but I had never seen it before. Just go and ask for ‘food’ and you’ll love it. Everything is a surprise … a very pleasant surprise.

Imagine you have been walking the trails expecting to find a cute trattoria around every corner. And you haven't seen one for hours. Finally you ask a local who tells you there is one less than a mile away. Only it turns out it is several miles more. And then you see it. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside they serve you one of the most authentic rural Italian meals you are ever going to have. With local specialties you won't even find in Bologna. And not a tourist in sight. Bliss and all for less than two espressos in the heart of London.

Alla trattoria Croara non si sbaglia mai! Ottimi i primi e le crescentine
