Contribuiți la feedbackThis is an unpretentious café in a strip-mall in the charming city of San Juan Capistrano. We had a lot of good breakfast and lunch here and were never disappointed. The owners/kitchen work hard and crown croissants who have eaten in France. The French onion soup is tops and we enjoyed the Panini sandwiches and the wide selection of breakfast offers. Café Latte is the best in town and everyone we have met is pleasant and knowledgeable. Absolutely no complaints!
Fantastic authentic French pastries and atmosphere! The owner is a great guy who returns to his community! Great to have a place with such an atmosphere in the San Juan Capistrano area fits perfectly into the community.
French bakery. That's all everyone needs to know. It is the house of delicious treats that you want more, and more, and more. A great test of your self-control.
Serious people, if this place is so great, with high-quality items, why lack people who visit the facility? A lukewarm atmosphere when we arrived at 10:10, there was a waffle plate served with strawberries and whip cream, and saw a little tempting for us, the newcomers and first time buyers, really sold before even footing on this so-called French inspired bakery. These bright 5 star reviews will do it every time, with this kind of feedback dazzling with praise, half the battle is won. So again with my question: If this bakery is a 5 and 5 stars the highest rating, does this mean that the best of the best bakeries in France are also 5 stars? Or this excellent number of reviews applies only to the imperishable strip-mall in which this Gourmet Cafe Bakery is located. Does it compete with all bakeries in Orange County? Where does the competition really end? The few pastries on the display were all dark baked and came to discover that the dough that had its merits, but certainly no work of art, was used in various forms. The very popular Almond Croissants were almost at the time we went, so we bought the last 3rd prize at $3,30? each. Besides the same type of dough, some variation of an Apple filling that comes with a filling of apple sauce, either the baby Gerber type, or the one that comes in a large can. Magnificent choice for this praised bakery. Dry, fluffy, flat, but slightly buttery. Next, be careful a baguette that had a crust of extreme elasticity, weak tooth or gums. These are the skills of a French baker, this hard to chew, basically tasteless bread? The prices are generally expensive, so happy we only bleed over $26, thanks to our tendency to believe a group of reviews that were open, were far hatched. We waited for our purchase in our house, but don't leave. I think bad reviews were written by people with a middle strike, but more and more, I give bad reviews that they deserve, with rare exceptions. I was lucky to have tried big bakeries, and no, that's not one of them. The plate with a waffle called our eye, no joke, was almost untouched by the person who ordered it. 2.5 stars.
If you just want a cup of coffee, don?t come here. They?ll force you to get it to go and refuse to let you sit in the dinning room. I came here for the first time to try their coffee. The place was completely empty and I was refused a table because I wasn?t getting an entrée... LAME!
