Jardin Secreto - San José del Cabo

Service was just ok. Food was very bland. Noise level was off the chart. I love a good band but could not hear each other speak.

We keep trying but this time sealed the deal. Jardin Secreto is beautiful. The band is always amazing but the service/food are completely hit or miss. This time we decided to give it one more try based on our last not so great experience. We were seated next to the pizza/pig fire pit, not an ideal table because of the heat but no worries. About 10 15 minutes later someone comes by and takes our water order. Then crickets. There was what looked like a manager standing between the kitchen and other tables playing on his phone. About 25 minutes of waiting, we finally got his attention and asked if he was the manager. He said no, what do you want? Around this time the water came to the table and we said, oh our waiter, here he is Apparently he was just the water guy and the non manager, phone guy said, what do you want? We asked if he was our waiter and again just asked what we wanted. We ordered drinks; his reponse food? ... um well ok, we said that we 'd love to have our cocktails while we looked at the menu. He went back assumed the phone position. 15 min later, cocktails arrive. We flag him down again, looking at other perplexed guests trying to figure out how to get service. Eventually our food came. Never saw waiter again other than him standing playing on his phone. At that point we flagged down the nice water guy and asked for our check. Waiter drops check at table nothing said. We 'd been out of drinks/water for awhile. 15 minutes later check lady comes with the machine. No words, just takes the credit card and finishes the transaction. So bizarre. There are so many amazing restaurants in San Jose del Cabo with outstanding service and food. We are down there 4 5 times a year. Don 't waste your time coming here unless you sit at the bar where the bartender is attentive. I 'm not one to write negative reviews, but it was a complete waste of time and money. Three strikes, but this one took 1st place for sure!

The restaurant is beautiful and you will take lots of pictures. The food was just average. We didn’t get the pizza but I think it would be the best option.
