Matsuri Sabana - San Jose

Great sashimi, the price for 2 people was wonderful and the portions generous. The choices for that plate are good, but perhaps cheange to allow some selection by the guest. We would have gone for more tuna and salmon and less of some of the other choices. Overall, a good experience.

The soup is served in a very small portion and the sushi pieces are tiny, making them difficult to handle. There is hardly any fish in the sushi, just mostly rice and vegetables. The prices are also very high for the quality of the food. Oh no!

I am not sure about the negative reviews I just read, but I can say that our experience dining at this restaurant on a Thursday evening was fantastic. The company was excellent, the appetizer was delicious, consisting of four rolls to share, and we also enjoyed two tasty juices. The location was great, close to La Sabana parks. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience.

Tonight we ordered two fish soups and a sushi plate at the restaurant. The sushi was delicious, but we found the soups to be overpriced for their quality. Initially, we were happy with our meal, but when we received the bill, we were shocked at the higher-than-expected price. Adding a 25% service charge for mediocre service seemed unnecessary. It would have been appreciated if we were informed in advance about any significant price changes. Overall, we recommend Matsuri, but suggest keeping an eye on potential surprises in the bill.
