Mezcal - San Jose

Needs more attention with service and more diversity

Mezcal is a fun restaurant with great ambience and staff. The food was good, but average. The marguerites were delicious, but definitely not very strong. Pleasant culinary experience with friends, but I'm not concerned to return.

Extremely slow and poor service!! We finished our order after waiting for over 45 min.

We came and sat, but our waiter wasn't so friendly. I felt like he had something heavy in his head. Otherwise everything else was great.

While the food was ok,it was the poor service that brought this place way down. We were a large group and I received a call asking us to be prepared to pay with one credit card. On arrival, we were seated in front of two open doors making the entire experience unreasonably cold and uncomfortable. Our waiter was rushing us through our meal, complained when we asked for an extra plate and, of course included the tip so he had no incentive to be cordial or accommodating. Drinks also use low grade tequila- be sure to ask to swap out for better liquor. No one in our party would go again.
