Chivas Grill (5 Spot) - San Jose

What a hidden gem! The three quesabirria tacos, along with complimentary bites of consommé, are absolutely the way to go. Without a doubt, this is the best in San Jose. I only wish we had discovered this place when we lived just down the street. The molcajete and other dishes also look amazing! The service is consistently quick and exceptional. It's family-friendly and has late hours, plus regular happy hour specials on beers and chavelas/micheladas. I highly recommend this place and will definitely keep coming back!

The food here is absolutely delicious! Even after two years, the dishes are still just as tasty. The service is also outstanding and attentive. I highly recommend trying the molcajete!

My wife and I are huge fans of 5 Spot! Their meats are exceptional; the carne asada has a wonderful mesquite flavor, and their quesabirria is absolutely amazing—better than any other I've ever had. Definitely give them a try!

This place is legit. I am a little embarrassed to say that it took me this long to eat here. My friends were stunned I hadn't been here before. I ordered the nopales and eggs breakfast and I am now a proud member of the clean plate club. I honestly had to slow down to enjoy the food longer because it was way too easy to eat. The corn tortillas are magic. I left full and sated. I am excited to have 5 Spot Chivas on my list of hometown eateries!Vegetarian options: I did not scan the entire menu. I saw the nopales breakfast right away and ordered it. After years of eyeing out this place, finally decided to try this place out. So I glad I did. Food comes out hot, fresh and delicious. Perfectly prepped and huge mount of taco meat and perfect amount of cheese on those birria. It was a Monday when I came and they didn't have the lengua, so I'll be back to try that. Service was fast, and the ladies are very friendly. It has a cozy ambiance atmosphere. They also serve beers and cocktails but we'll go try them on a weekend. If you want authentic food, give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.
