Gringo Mike's - San Gil

Don’t be put off by the name here, it sounds tacky but the food is so fresh and the staff are so lovely. Definitely worthy of its recommendation! Nice vibes inside too. Great for vegans/ vegetarians too.

We saw the Gringo Mikes sign up the road when we err exploring round the square and decided to come back. It’s set in a courtyard which was nice. An American themed menu with some Mexican pieces. It costs a little more than other places locally but it’s done well so I think it’s justified. Service is good (Thank you Edwin). Also, we saw more Gringos in this one place than we’d seen in the previous 3 days in San Gil! Haha

Burgers are delicious! Portions are very big!! Mexican food is nice, not true to the original.. nice atmosphere, and there is a menu in English. Super recommended!

Huge delicious burger. Excellent salad. And a giant cookie with ice cream for dessert. Yummy.

We were put off by the name, but went anyway because Google said it had good vegetarian options, and I'm really pleased we went. The food was amazing, albeit the portions were far too big! It was a little more expensive than most places we ate in tour, but it was a definite treat and I'd highly recommend it. The ambience in the old colonial style building was lovely too.
