Yamasho - San Francisco

The first time to eat here. eating was just okay, nothing special. the service was terrible and it took almost 2 hours to come and out because of the slow service. cleanliness of the restaurant was not so great. had to ask for a new menu because I got a bucking greasy rice in my lap when I opened mine

The service was quite poor, and the restaurant was nearly empty. It felt like our party of three was being attended to by multiple servers, but none seemed to communicate with each other. We requested water from one server, were checked on by another ten minutes later, and still had no water. This lack of communication happened multiple times during our meal. We also didn’t receive the sushi we ordered; instead, they brought us something different, and we decided to eat it anyway. Half of the sashimi appeared as if it had been previously frozen. I would advise anyone craving sushi to reconsider this place, even if it’s nearby, and perhaps choose another restaurant instead.

YamaSho is a Japanese Karaoke hot spot. We go there mainly for the good Japanese food, but the Karaoke clientele is charming and entertaining, and always friendly. Service is great, and it is on our hot list of great places to eat when we visit SF.
