The Pig And Whistle - San Francisco

A coworker mentioned that she had been exploring British pubs in the city in preparation for her upcoming trip to England. It made me realize I had never thought to seek out a British pub myself, despite my love for all things British. After a hike, I decided to stop by, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. I absolutely loved the shepherd's pie and the ambiance of the place. The bartender was friendly and helpful, too. I can't wait to visit again!

The Pig and Whistle is one of the best British pubs you can find in the City. The front bar area can be quite lively, but there’s a peaceful back room where you can enjoy your meal and conversation if you're not in the mood for the bar's energetic atmosphere. The fish and chips were excellent; the fish was firm yet moist, and the batter was perfectly crispy and delicious. My friend ordered the Chicken Masala Curry, which was bursting with flavor. They also serve a great Manhattan.

I took a scenic route back from Saragosa and decided to swing by Geary Blvd to visit my old friend, Ol Hybiscuss Trotterdale, from my younger days. She has a speakeasy on Geary, so I figured I'd stop in for a drink. I noticed The Pig and Whistle just up the street, which was a nice bonus since I could also grab a quick dinner. Since Ol Hybiscuss wasn't around, I headed straight to The Pig and Whistle. I initially intended to order fish and chips, but when I saw the beef pie being served at another table, I couldn’t resist. It was absolutely spectacular!

This is a classic establishment that offers fine cocktails, fresh beer, and delicious food. I originally came in for one pint but ended up staying for two more. The atmosphere is comfortable, the entertainment is enjoyable, and the food and company are excellent. I encourage everyone to come and enjoy!

Incredible service in San Francisco, with the best shepherd's pie I've ever had and a fantastic selection of beers! This is always my top choice whenever I'm in SF!
