Taqueria El Sol - San Francisco

I love hole in the wall taquerias. One taco was piled so high with tasty goodness it was the perfect stop before seeing a play down the street. Service was good and if I'm ever in the area and need a quick bite I won't hesitate to pop back in.

The Mexican food at this restaurant near Union Square is excellent. While there are fancier Mexican restaurants in the area, I suggest avoiding those tourist traps and trying this authentic spot instead. The burritos are packed and delicious, whether you prefer them dry or wet. The tacos never disappoint. The soup tastes just like homemade. The salsa is fresh and the chips are crunchy. I only wish they would bring back the beef tongue in tomato sauce. I give this place two thumbs up.

Great hole in the wall place. Being from Texas we were looking for breakfast tacos. Chorizo always reminds me of home and these burritos didn't dissapoint. They don't have much but what they do have is great. We were there early enough that we could get sliced avocado. Yummy!!Food: 4/5

I ordered three deluxe tacos and found that they were a good value for the price. However, I was disappointed to discover that none of them had any flavor. In fact, I had to discard one of the tacos after finding a hair in it once I returned to my hotel. Overall, I would give the food a rating of 3 out of 5.

Everything was amazing ? The highlight and what I will remember about this place for a long time was the salsa. I say this knowing I am no expert, it was the best salsa I have had in my life.If I were a local to the city, this restaurant would make a lot of money from me.
