Contribuiți la feedbackJust wanted to experience the CA oldest restaurant. Atmosphere was good. I ordered cioppino (SF originated dish). Portion was ok, not enough for 58$. They could have done better on taste as well. May be cioppino is not thier expertise. Sourdough was extremely chewy. Overall good but an expensive experience. 1 extra star for just being the oldest in CA.
One of our favorite restaurant in San Francisco. Great food, great service and great atmosphere. No reservations? No problem. We sat on the bar and enjoyed a great meal with Brian serving and entertaining us.Food: 5/5
From the outside there isn't much to distinguish Tadich Grill from any other place. My husband had read about the restaurant some years back. It's the oldest restaurant in California! We went for our anniversary. It's cozy inside. Service was excellent. Our server was friendly and enthusiastic. They have half bottles of wine which I didn't realize you could get and was the perfect amount for the two of us. We got fried clam strips as an appetizer and they were fresh and delicious. Husband ordered prime rib and it was like butter! I got the seafood saute and the seafood was so good but the sauce was next level! We will be back.
Tadich Grill, San Francisco's oldest continuously operating restaurant, opened in 1849. It is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, and it is known for its classic seafood dishes.Unassuming from the outside, the interior reveals dark wood paneling, white tablecloths, and a chandelier. The vibe makes this a great place to go for a special occasion or a romantic dinner.Their style of cuisine is renowned for its classic seafood dishes, such as cioppino, crab cakes, and fish and chips. The food has always been fresh and delicious, and the portions are generous. The staff are one of the best things about Tadich. They've all been employed for many years and know the menu like the back of their hand. Their distinctive white coats are a nostalgic reminder of their historic heritage in the city. Not cheap, but the food experience of eating here is worth it. A meal for two with drinks will typically cost above $100.
