I would not recommend getting the Wagyu upgrade, I think it is expensive for what it is, and I think that the normal beef option is good enough. my favorite part is in any case the porridge that they make at the end with their remaining rice and broth.
Excellent service and eat, the 2 most important things I care in restaurants. the pork was wonderfully prepared with a crispy bottom and juicy in the inner. the seafood hot pot came with 2 medium-sized salmon stones, 2 average size garnel, 2 scallops, 6-8 mush and a tonne vegetables. while not eating much, it was a lot for 2 people and the quality was excellent. the waiter will make you sway when you're ready for what I barely ate because I was so full. I'll come back to try the other hot cup dishes.
One of my favorite places in sf. I lived in japan for 10 years and had my fair share of hot pot. I can confidently say that the hotpot at nabe is excellent consistently high quality ingredients. very good service. I love that they use the left broth to make a rice for them to go home. good alcohol selection also. I come here as often as I can.
One of my favorite places in the city for hotpot. Do note that, while they have shabu, they specialize in nabe, which is another type of Japanese hotpot.
The best hot pot in SF. Super flavorful broths, generous portions, very fresh ingredients. They have all different proteins and vegetarian options.
