The chocolate coating on the Lexington added a delightful crunch and a unique texture, while the creamy filling of the raspberry croissant provided a different but equally enjoyable experience. The cornflake cookie was incredibly sweet, with nutty undertones that made it an excellent pairing with coffee. This bakery is definitely worth a visit!
This is my favorite bakery in San Francisco, although the area can feel a bit sketchy. When I visited with my child, an unusual incident occurred; a woman walked by and actually attempted to take her from my husband's arms. So, it's important to be aware of your surroundings while in the area. We usually go around 9:00 AM to enjoy the fresh pastries, including their famous Crufin. Everything we've tried here has been fantastic!
Wanted to visit place so many times and finally made it here today! It is a tiny shop that has a trendy design. Very cute and modern. They got a good selection of both sweet and savory, and I opted for their sweet choices this time. Their apple cream donut was very good. Not overly sweet and the apple cream inside was fresh. Finishing it won’t make your tastebuds full of sugar, so I liked it. Got their matcha croissant but have yet tried. I fee that I will like it. The size was small, and I got both for $8.1. It is on the pricey side, so -1 star overall.
We were prepared for a long wait, but to our surprise, there was only one person in front of us. Looking through the display window, we discovered just four chocolate cherry sticky buns and a small pile of cornflake cookies remaining. It became clear that we had missed out on the cruffins, as it was already 2:30 PM, so we decided to go with the chocolate cherry sticky bun. It certainly lived up to our expectations. The outside was crispy, while the inside was beautifully flaky. The center was filled with slightly tart cherries that complemented the dark chocolate drizzle perfectly.
Great neighborhood bakery for modern pastries. From sweet to savory they have something for everyone. Get there early because they tend to sell out of the legendary kruffins fast. Make sure you get the box, which usually fits up to 6 pastries. Runs about $20 to $30 bucks but it’s worth it.
