Contribuiți la feedbackThis casual restaurant in Chinatown serves congee, dim sum, and other Cantonese dishes from a diverse menu. The service was quick overall, although I did have trouble getting hot mustard when requesting it from a server. The restaurant is busy and you may end up sharing a table with other diners. Despite this, the food was incredibly delicious and I would definitely return again.
The dim sum at this small restaurant was good. The staff was busy but efficient, bringing out hot and prompt dishes in small streamer baskets. We tried three different shrimp dumplings, each with a unique flavor and texture. The portion sizes were perfect for dim sum. However, we were not asked if we wanted more food, offered soy sauce or more tea, or informed about unavailable items until we saw them missing from the bill. Overall, it was a good experience but I would not necessarily return.
Feb2024 We were looking for things to bring back to the hotel, and wandered by during our adventures that evening. I used to eat here as a kid every now and then with the rents when I was growing up so it was nice to swing by again. Staff helped with any questions that we had. We had ordered har gow, shu mai, yang chow fried rice, basic congee, and the stir fried green beans. Not the best, but it met our needs which was nifty. Plus, the location stays open later than other places which really helps. Flavors were pretty good. I'd say I liked the green beans and the congee best, though the congee was more porridge than it's included ingredients. Fried rice was cooked well though it needed more salt.
I came here after not being able to get a table at Hon's and it was a big mistake. Next time, I will go to a different restaurant or wait a little longer for a table. The food and service were below average. It seems like this place is only good if you feel like you have no other choices (even though there are plenty of other Chinese restaurants in Chinatown).
Our go-to dim sum place whenever in Chinatown, SF. There's usually a nice lady handing out flyers for this palace outside on the corner. Good service, fresh food. Love their chili oil, it has a good flavor to it. I always get the pork shu mai, shrimp har gow, chicken feet, and egg custard tarts if they have it. There is only one restroom that's often occupied and it is a bit smelly and we've seen sketchy, non-patron ppl come into the restaurant to use it in a few occasions but it's SF, it happens.
