Gordo Taqueria - San Francisco

Gordo has been my favorite burrito place for? omg.. 30 years. I?ve tried many others, but none have been as good as Gordo. Everything tastes fresh and I love the char on the grilled chicken, which takes the flavors up a notch. Great hot sauce and fresh pico, too. Highly recommend. :

This restaurant is amazing! They are open for takeout orders during the pandemic (June 2021). I tried the chilli Verde and the guacamole was exceptional. We ordered a pint of guacamole and I would definitely return to this place, primarily because the staff was incredibly nice and friendly.

Gordo has been my nostalgic eats since the 90s. Go to has always been super burrito with carnitas (or pollo) with no beans and extra hot sauce. Comes out to around $8 Another one is the quesadilla is delicious the way they do it there it?s not what someone would typically imagine (if Taco Bell was the base) Though all the locations have the exact same menu and pretty similar taste? personally I feel the one on 23rd and clement is the best one despite being the smallestlocation. Parking in the 9th Ave area also sucks so you?d have to be in the area, take muni, walk or bike. Golden gate park is right there so you can get a burrito to go then walk and eat it in the park.

This restaurant is perfect for a quick meal. The green salsa is a bit spicy but delicious, and the pico de gallo is fresh. The pinto beans were good, and the carnitas were not dry. This is a great spot to grab a bite to eat after a hike.

I have been a regular at Gordo for quite some time now. While they may not be the top taqueria in town, they are still very good, quick, and convenient. The burritos, true to their name, are large and delicious. The atmosphere inside may not be the most appealing, but when it comes to Mexican takeout, Gordo is my go-to choice. Food: 4/5
