Golden Crab House - San Francisco

I thoroughly enjoyed all of the dishes at this restaurant. The string beans and eggplant were particularly outstanding, elevating these common vegetable side dishes to a new level. The crab dish was the real standout, and was truly excellent.

It's wonderful that this restaurant is open on Christmas Day so that friends can gather and enjoy a great meal together.

They were out of half the items on the menu we planned on ordering. Not sure if that was intentional or just terrible planning for Christmas Eve, but if it was intentional, then we would have loved a heads up beforehand. Also, they didn't have enough staff working, only 1-2ppl taking orders. We had to remind the waiter multiple times about our drink orders.

The food here is quite good. Service .The crab is very good but extremely difficult to eat. The ambiance is not why you would come here. It has the atmosphere of a diner. All in all, pretty good, but with all the restaurants in The City I doubt I'll return.

Family gathered to celebrate, ordered a variety of things from the menu. Roasted Crab, shaken beef, house garlic noodles, crab fried rice, shrimp fried rice, ... the roasted crab with garlic was just okay, garlic was a bit grainy not fully incorporated into the sauce and the the crab fried rice was seriously missing the presence of actual crab. Others enjoyed their shrimp fried rice and shaken beef. Service was spot on. Cozy, inviting place. Street parking.
