El Rancho Grande - San Francisco

The margarita was the worst margarita I ever had. if they had pressed a single slice of lime on a single ice cube, it would have been better. it was just a mixed buck egg. No tequila, no limette, no coin road, nothing.

The accuracy of the order was not good here. I ordered a quesadilla and nachos, but received a quesadilla and regular nachos instead. The regular nachos are more expensive and a waste of money for me, as I knew I wouldn't be able to eat them. The menu lists nachos with cheese, beef, and salsa, while the nachos I received had the same plus meat, leading to potential confusion in the ordering process. I believe this was done intentionally to benefit the company. The server also did not ask what meat I wanted, just adding steak automatically. It seems that the option of ordering to-go or dining in is not clear in this city, as they did not inquire about my preference. The lack of proper communication added to the frustration, especially since I had been patronizing the establishment daily for the past two weeks. The food itself lacked flavor and did not align with my preferences. When I requested a plate to eat my quesadilla on, the server disregarded my request and served it on wax paper on a plastic plate, causing me to unintentionally consume bits of wax paper along with the food. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I would recommend the street taco place three blocks down for better food. I initially chose this place for its pricing, but I would rather spend a little more for items I actually want at the street taco place.

The pico and chips were excellent. The garlic-flavored tortilla and steak-shrimp dish were outstanding. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

This restaurant is a tasty local franchise with a great selection of protein options for both locals and visitors. The ground tacos are consistently amazing thanks to their flavorful meats. The California burrito is a popular choice among my friends. Their loaded meals are also incredibly delicious. Don't forget to try one of their refreshing agua frescas.

I'm from California where we have real Mexican food. This food is watery, over-salted and bland. Service was friendly.
