Additionally, I'm a huge fan of banh mi; they're my favorite type of sandwich. So when I spotted one on the menu, I was thrilled to give it a try. Unfortunately, it seemed like the person preparing it had never actually tasted a real banh mi. The sandwich was served on a croissant instead of the traditional French roll — definitely the wrong bread for this dish. As I began eating, the entire thing started falling apart. The flavors were all over the place, with the sandwich being a confusing mix of dry, wet, and greasy. The tofu was curried and very dry, which just didn’t belong in this sandwich. To top it off, there was grilled pineapple for some reason. While I appreciate having vegan options on the menu, I would advise against this particular one.
This is a fantastic spot with incredible staff, ample seating, and a patio that offers lovely park views. The dark roast coffee is consistently delicious. The vibe is just right! I'm so glad I live on the same street as this place!
It's not overly fancy, but it's a great place to grab a quick cup of coffee or a smoothie if you need to cool down while spending time at Dolores Park.
You would think this place would just be coasting on its location, but the food is actually pretty good. Awesome patio and window seating with views of the park, usually crowded and a good vibe.
Super sweet spot. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The Buddha bowl was delicious too.
