Contribuiți la feedbackHonestly could not give this place a higher recommendation!! The food is amazing and so affordable, ambience feels like fine food, service is pretty good, and especially the mission of Delancey Street makes you feel good to eat here. One of the cheapest places you can dive in the SF area and actually be satisfied to get out of the door. Loved the fried pickles and charcuterie board as appetizers. The fried chicken was also fried the perfection while all skill remained internal. The schishito paprika were addicted and served as a great side dish. At the time we went there was a $23 dinner special, including fried pickles, fried chicken (will be on the cob, potato cake, coleslaw), and a slice of pumpkin cake for dessert. One of the most satisfying meals we had this last year!
Wow, can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. Started coming here in 2019 and have been back as often as possible, even though I live in a different state. Best service in San Francisco. Great food and delicious dessert. Views of the Bay Bridge and water. Super low prices. This place should be packed every night! It's a hidden gem because a non-profit operates the establishment and doesn't advertise.
What a great place! The food was great and the service even better. Look up the story behind the restaurant and it will give you even more reasons to go there. Plenty of street metered parking. Very reasonably priced. Beautiful patio. Great views of the water.
First off, just what this place does for individuals and giving them structure and a second chance deserves five stars already. But the place is charming and the food is so tasty and extremely affordable. I have loved the service as everyone has been so friendly and are eager to please and do a good job. All tips given are considered a donation to the foundation, so eating there actively provides more money for the work they do. The food is always fresh, quick, and made with the best ingredients. I plan to eat here frequently and recommend it to anyone in the area. May seem a bit odd at first, but it's eccentric and quirky and just an enjoyable place to be
IYKYK, have known about this restaurant for decades...long before social media slanted opinions instantly. This is the best kept secret in San Francisco before Mission Bay, South Beach, China Basin and Dogpatch were multi-million residential neighborhoods. The only other nearby restaurant for years was behind the new ballpark, the landlocked Dolph Rempp Sailing Ship that blocked these views was torn down a decade ago. There is no other place in the entire SF Bay Area that sells a pint of Anchor Steam draft beer for 4, except Safeway. This organization helps disadvantaged people get back on their feet through several businesses that help defray costs of housing, educational programs and meals. The place is really pretty in interior and exterior with unobstructed views of the Bay Bridge and Embarcadero. Outside they have umbrellas, wind shields and space heaters. Many staff are learning the F&B craft and assuming some of the cooks are learning as well. The menu offers some good selections and you will immediately notice an incredible value compared to every other place in town. If you're really picky about having an epic 4 star meal, go elsewhere. This restaurant survives on simply made honest food, great beers, and a casual dining experience with incredible views. Service is basic, friendly and polite and may make a few minor infractions, take a little longer or not know the answer to every question about cuisine or wine. When busy you may need to be a bit more patient. Potato Cakes with smoked salmon and dill cream was simple and probably prepared in advance. Braised Lamb Shank was too. But both were real good, well seasoned, and quick from the kitchen. Parking might be a challenge but the ferry, busses, streetcars, and BART are within reach. Check it out for a great brunch. Mimosas are 5.
