The restaurant was bustling at 8 PM on a Monday night. I arrived ten minutes early and was seated immediately. The wait staff were very friendly, and the ambiance was fantastic, striking the perfect balance for conversation without having to lean in. The drink menu featured some intriguing options. I tried the Persephone Slip, which is a mix of gin, pomegranate juice, and a hint of lemon juice; it reminded me of a twist on a Cosmopolitan. While the service was attentive, there were a few missed details—like the removal of flatware with each finished course without replacing forks or spoons, and they didn’t keep our wine glasses topped off from the bottle. However, the food was so good that I would definitely return. The bone marrow was a standout, and I found myself savoring every last bit from the bone.

We shared a few desserts, but the mango panna cotta was a letdown. It had a taste and texture more like yogurt—soft and not firm at all. If you’ve ever tried Trader Joe’s organic vanilla bean yogurt, you might as well have one of those at home instead. The cobbler was passable, but it didn’t leave a lasting impression on me. I didn’t get a chance to try the cheese plate, and to be honest, I don’t think I’m qualified to review cheese anyway.
