California Jack's - San Francisco

Great bartenders, karaoke Saturdays, and good people from the neighborhood. Definitely my fave neighborhood bar for sure.The new young crowds prefer Cinch and Kozy Kar, but I prefer my stumble down here and the people who gather here to decompress. May this bar do well into the next year and remain a neighborhood staple.Everyone is welcome, mixed crowd, young, old, new, gay, hetero, non-binary, no matter! We are all just people here having a good ole time.

This was my favorite bar before Covid and they recently rebranded to California’s Jack — same owner I’m told. It is STILL as amazing as ever. You get to karaoke and there is an amazing wheel you get to spin if you’re not sure what you want to get for the night. But anything here is amazing anyway. You should definitely come by if you’re in the area and sing your heart out. I just love this place and the rebranding is awesome!!

It seems like it was Karaoke night, and it was quite loud—so much so that I could hardly hear the people I was with. One of the bartenders had a bit of an attitude, which was disappointing.

This is an excellent bar with a lively atmosphere and quirky decor. They serve fantastic cocktails, refreshing beers, and have a fun Wheel to spin—if you’re brave enough! The highlight of this place is definitely the incredible bartenders who make every visit enjoyable. They host trivia nights on Wednesdays, DJs on Tuesdays, and karaoke on Saturdays, so there’s always something exciting going on. It’s also a great spot for a happy hour drink. Overall, it has a fun neighborhood vibe and captures the essence of San Francisco perfectly.
