Boudin Bakery Cafe - San Francisco

This place is very very busy. Food was OK, nothing special. We got the obligatory Clam Chowder in bread bowl, plus Oysters and a prawn cocktail. Oysters were nice but Prawn was very average. Chowder was ok, but again nothing special. Waited 30 mins for a table as it was so busy. Not really worth the wait. But very big restaurant that can accommodate lots of tourists looking to just eat and not looking for a special meal.

We went here on a couple of occasion and had meals, the oysters were lovely along with their sourdough bread. Really struggled to find a decent place to eat around the wharf and pier, overly touristy with bad quality food so would recommend here and nowhere else.

For a restaurant that is located in a touristy location and therefore does a lot of volume, food was very good, service was friendly and efficient, and atmosphere was great. Would definitely visit again. Recommend if you’re seeking a solid meal in a tourist hot spot.

Nice decor good service. Disappointing had to return rib eye steak. Ask for middium well got medium rare and scallops potatoes where cold.
