Blowfish Sushi Sf - San Francisco

I have been going to this restaurant for 10 years for their amazing sushi. I have never been disappointed. They recently renovated and I am not sure if I like the new wall decorations. Also, I hope they bring back the rock and roll rolls!

I have to admit that the quality of the food did not live up to the reviews. The website and ambiance were also lacking, so I would not recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a good dining experience.

The restaurant served fresh and delicious fish, which was the most important aspect of the meal. However, the decor of the restaurant could use some updating as the industrial look appeared worn and tired, making the atmosphere feel dingy. Our server was both intriguing and irritating. Despite these minor issues, the sushi was good enough that I would consider returning for it.

Our food was good, but not fantastic. I'd go back and try more articles.

This was a huge disappointment. We have lived in the area for 20 years now and have relied on Blowfish to be that consistent place you can go to relying on a decent meal. I have in past years found it a tad noisy for my comfort but the food was always worth it. This last meal was a disaster, the fish ranged from meh to terrible. We sent back the uni for being completely inedible. For once it was not noisy, for a Saturday night it was rather empty, making me wonder if San Francisco has already worked out that this place is not what it used to be. We left rather saddened...the end of an era.
