Beach Chalet Brewery - San Francisco

I really love the cabinet work of the visitor center at the entrance on the first floor. Although it looks like some hacks butchered the reservation desk in places and some of the vitrines need to be replaced. Lots of good beer

I went for lunch, and the view is stunning! You can enjoy the ocean while you dine. This place is fantastic. The food is delicious, and the service is outstanding! We had clam chowder, mussels, and crab cake, all of which were excellent.

I was really looking forward to a nice meal to lift my spirits, so I decided to check out the downstairs area of the restaurant, which had a more casual vibe and some music playing. I thought it would be a fun experience! However, while the music was enjoyable, the food left a lot to be desired. I wanted to avoid carbs since I manage my diabetes through diet, so I asked for just a bowl of clam chowder, which is usually served in a French bread bowl. Unfortunately, the soup was very bland and lacked any real flavor. The menu promised smoked bacon, and I was also tempted to add a scoop of crab for an extra charge. To my disappointment, there were hardly any clams in the soup, and I certainly couldn’t taste any bacon. When I asked the waitress about the bacon, she informed me that it was just bacon flavoring. They also forgot to add the scoop of crab, so I had to remind the waitress again, and when it finally came, it was a very small portion. To top it off, the salad was wilted and had some rotten pieces mixed in. I ended up feeling sick later that evening, and I suspected it was due to the food. The cost of my soup and salad could have easily paid for a full dinner elsewhere, and I wouldn’t have ended up feeling unwell.

The food was delightful, the service was excellent, and the view is unbeatable!

It was a girls afternoon in San Fran. I'm looking forward to the Beach Chalet returning with my husband!
