Aa Bakery Cafe - San Francisco

My favorite egg tart in Chinatown. Golden Gate Bakery gets all the hype, but those egg tarts are almost double the prices of the ones here, so hit up this counter instead.

I thoroughly enjoyed the various pastries we tried, including the pineapple bun and a custard-filled pastry. They were both delicious!

Pineapple custard bun is soooo delicious. I always come back for these when I come to SF. The top is crumbly and I just have no words to describe it.

This is one of the best egg tarts I have ever tasted. The custard was expertly prepared.

The best BBQ pork buns I've encountered, out of at least 20 places I've tried since the closure of Anna Bakery. Their mini chicken pies are also fantastic. I always make it a point to visit whenever I'm in town.
