Contribuiți la feedbackReally enjoyed this charcuterie tray w/wine pairing. The cheeses were flavorful, creamy, but not over-powering. Their homemade raspberry jam is delicious btw! But I do wish there was more meat is all. I still give this place 5 stars since it tastes better than many other more expensive trays in the area. If you like charcuterie trays, definitely give this place a try!
I am so sorry to say this but this felt like a scam. For 130 dollars/person tax I sat in a cramped room with very little cheese tasting or instruction. The story: we walked in at 5:55 pm because the website said doors open at 6 on the dot. However, many people were already in there so their website is out of date. That 's a nonissue though, so we enter and they hand us a delicious flute of bubbly. I was super excited about what this cheese class was going to teach me. At 6:15 they finally seat us and I am so stoked to finally sit figuring they have a whole plan for bringing me on a journey through the cheese of Spain. The first thing I notice, the tables are way way too close to each other. The server is trying to pour bubbly but it is apparent that there is not enough room for them to get by. Second, they introduce the instructor, Waldemar Albrecht, who has a long history in the cheese business. I was very excited to hear his take on how to taste and enjoy cheese. The first thing he said was, I don 't know what cheeses we are tasting today .I figured this was part of the class, and that it would all make sense, but it became increasingly clear over the next 15-20 mins that he actually was just ad-libbing the entire class. They had these beautiful printed papers for comments on each cheese, for how to taste cheese, and bread/nut accouterments. He never once said to pair any cheese with a piece of bread or the jam in the center of your plate. He also never instructed us to use the beautiful fork or knife to cut the cheese to taste a piece. He never gave instruction at all other than to pick it up by hand and eat it. He also kept focusing on wine from the region and really did not focus on cheese and the look/feel/taste and what was in front of us. Minimal description was given.I think I figured out about 30 mins into it that I was on my own and that I had been tricked out of the money I had paid for my fiance 's birthday here. I felt so bad for her as she was let down by the experience.I am so disappointed with this, I really hope that you take some time and consider something else for the money, maybe a nice dinner or something. I mean you could go to a Micheline star restaurant for the same price and get a high-quality meal. I also want to say that I wanted to like this and I wanted to bring future friends/family here, but I cannot imagine what the other classes must be like if this was the class I went to.
Loved it! As cheese lovers this place was perfect for us to stop and have a snack, no processed cheese like products here, all very well made products. The employees were absolutely amazing and they were very knowledgeable about the items available.
Service was great and they were extremely helpful! Charcuterie plate is delicious as is the bubbly but a little on the pricier side for what you get.
Now that they are settled into their new location the team is great! I did a wine and cheese pairing focused on the west coast this summer and was so happy with my experience! Fun class, interesting and useful information! : Def check these folks out!
