Extremely helpful whenever I have questions. I highly recommend the Okinawa Milk Tea with boba and the Lychee Green Tea with aloe. Those are my two favorites. So disappointed I'm leaving the city for school, I'll miss you Teapenter!
I highly recommend grabbing a drink from here. I have a feeling i will be back many times. Tried their mango pamelo and it was heavenly. There is no sitdown but within walking distance of one of the most beautiful and spacious parks i have experienced. We sat down and enjoyed an outdoor concert with drinks in hand and it was just perfect. I dont normally like sweet drinks so i ordered with no sugar and the natural sweetness of the fruits was enough to not be overpowering.
Roasted oolong tea was pretty good but the boba quality ruined it for me. I recommend to go with plain tea and if you like toppings, pudding was ok but skip the boba. The tapioca lacked flavor and the flavor it did have was sort of plastic-y. I found it unpleasant enough that i ended up spitting all the boba into an empty cup because i was genuinely grossed out by the flavor. Super disappointed, wish i hadn’t tried this place today.
Finally decided to try this place out today after passing by so many times to pick up kid from nearby school. Got 3 drinks today, brown sugar coffee boba (normal sweet), jasmine green milk tea with boba and grass jelly (80% sweet) and a strawberry lemonade (water base no caffeine), and came out to $16. Wish they posted prices of drinks and toppings but price seems pretty decent and not bad too bad at all. On par with most boba places. The regular sweet boba drink was actually a bit too sweet. 80% sweet drink was pretty perfect in terms on sweetness. Overall it was a good pick and would come back for sure!
Having been to a LOT of boba places in my life, I can safely say Teapenter will satisfy your boba craving if you're nearby. It's not the best boba I've ever had, but it's also not the worst boba I've ever had. It sits perfectly in the middle. As mentioned in other reviews, drinks here are more on the sweeter end. I ordered a rose milk tea with light ice and 80% sweet, but it felt like ordering a regular 100% sweet drink. As a kid, I would've LOVED this place, but now as I get older, my tastebuds are also changing. Sweetness aside, I liked how I could taste the rose flavor in my drink and how they got my ice levels exactly right. There are some places that give no ice or too much ice and Teapenter is not one of those places! I wish they included prices on the menu, but for reference, my drink was $5.50 as of April 2022. This appears to be on par as the other boba places on Irving, especially now that Tpumps down the street increased their regular size drinks to $5. The inside of Teapenter is small and although it appears to be only one person working, they're really quick and efficient! There's no sit-down area to chat, so don't come here with friends planning to sit and hang out for hours with your drinks. It's more of an order and leave type of place. All in all, it's a pretty standard boba place and you won't be disappointed with anything you order! Good place for kids and anyone with a sweet tooth!!
