Horrible service, bad food, overpriced. An ordered drink took 20 minutes to arrive. In an empty restaurant, they somehow had run out of food for several dishes. When they were serving our food, they notified us that one of the dishes wasn't coming since they had run out and asked us if we wanted to order something else... why they waited until then to notify us, I don't know. No one checked on us to learn that some of the food was poorly prepared. For example, the one vegetarian dish they had on the menu was missing a main ingredient.
Where do I start? We came in as a party of 6 and all left disappointed. Bacalaitos were extremely salty, Lechon sliders were completely bland, the cuban bread was basically sliced bread with no flavor and even the rice and beans had no flavor. The empanadas were decent but some of them were empty and missing meat. We ordered a round of sangria which was watered down and tasted like juice. On top of all this the food is overpriced. We all left after only the appetizers. Stay away from this place. It's a complete disappointment.
Yucca fries, egg sandwich, and cubano were good. Empanadas and flatbread were not to my liking. Service was kind but not super fast or attentive. Prices seemed a bit high for what you got.
I had one of their eggs benedict dishes, and it was outstanding. Perfect portion size, nice presentation, eggs cooked just right, tasty crab meat, and super-delicious hollandaise sauce with a mild kick . Our server was pleasant and attentive. Only downside: paying was very awkward. Good thing I was with a longtime buddy instead of a date! First, we were told that we had to pay in cash, so my friend tendered a $100 bill. A few minutes later, the server came back and apologetically noted that they couldn't make change from a $100 !? , so could we please pay by credit card. Um, okay. Then another server came by and said she needed to know the tip amount prior to running the card, so could my friend please tell her how much he'd like to tip? Uh... excuse me? For such a stylish place with really delicious food, this was an odd and offputting way to end the meal. Seriously, Caña Cuban, either stop being cheap and pay the merchant fees to accept credit cards, or in a worst case, increase your entree prices by 3% or whatever.
