Chubasco - San Fernando

What a great little place! With an inconceivable shop in front in a small stripe shopping center with much too little parking, Chubasco serves top notch, authentic Mexican food at a very reasonable price. With a plane to catch Bob Hope Burbank in two hours at the airport, I needed a bit fast and delicious. I ordered two crispy crushed beef tacos $2.25) and a cheese and onion enchilada $3) à la carte as well as a side order of guacamole $1.95). They brought me a free basque of fresh, warm chips and some salsa green or red) to eat with my Guac. Guacamole was the size of a $5 $6 order in most places and seasoned perfectly and tacos were with hot, crispy peels, a plethora of crushed beef, salad, chopped tomatoes and grated queso fresco fresh, white cheese). I added a little of the guacamole and some salsa, making them the perfect tacos, the tacos I missed since moving to the Pacific Northwest. The enchilada had a lot of cheese and onion, the homemade red enchilada sauce was sublim, a perfect blend of Chile's not tomatoes) and spices, and it was embroidered with more cheese and boiled before serving. All in all, for only $12.50 including taxes, this was one of the best values when it comes to meals, I had memories lately. The service was fast and friendly and the place clean, although very easy, with only a few small tables and chairs. CombatCritic gives Chubasco Restaurant 9 bombs from 10... More bombs are better!

Chubasco is a great small place for simple Mexican dishes. Personally, I would have her asada..it is well seasoned and cooked every time I ordered it. Service is beautiful, the ladies are pleasant and make your food order. My only quibble would be the meat, especially the asada, if used in saying tacos or burritos, can be a bit greasy or oily what I think comes from the pan used in preparation. Otherwise, a beautiful place.and a free place to eat.
