Contribuiți la feedbackLoved this place! The orange chicken was fantastic and loved the complete dinner deal they have. Their shrimp is huge and delicious. Also their cream cheese wontons were a hit with the sauce it comes with. Fair prices and epic tastes winning.
I have been here a four or five times now and i really love their food! Kung Pao Chicken is my favorite, so I'm kind of picky, as I have my favorite little place in China Town, L.A., ... BUT I'm always on the search for something comparable closer to home. Phoenix Garden has delicious entree's, superb customer service, fantastic prices, including lunch specials that are great on your pocketbook! I've been here several times for lunch and dinner! Dinner is where I am able to taste more of their food, as we order different items to share. I love that because I will always order Kung Pao if it's available (lol , so I don't always get to taste other items! So, since coming here, I've enjoyed their Kung Pao chicken, orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp, shrimp chow mein (pan fried , pork chow mein (pan fried , pork fried rice, fried and white rice, egg flower soup, and hot and sour soup. My favorites are Kung Pao chicken and honey walnut shrimp! Everyone is always very friendly and attentive to customers needs! I recommend this place! It's a great chinese food restaurant in a strip mall. Nothing super fancy, but nice! (And clean! You'll have an awesome dining experience!
Per my mom's request on mother's day she wanted this place so, I abide. I called prior asking if they have any tables available because of the holiday, they were nice enough to let us know that they do. About an hour and a half later were at the front door with a little wait. Prob 10 minutes until we were sat. For it being mother's day it was a busy but they helped us pretty fast along with serving us in a timely manner. We started off with the egg drop corn soup with crab. We let the sever know it was for 3 people and then this big ole pot was placed in front of us, he served us and let us be. My mom and I had about 3 cups each and there was still plenty to take home. The soup was nice and hot, the crab was salty and the egg was creamy in this savory soup. The egg drop soup with great, but I think I would prefer the egg drop with just corn in it. We also ordered some cream cheese won tons, sooo yummy! I kid you not I almost ate the full order of 6! They were perfectly hot and crispy served with sweet and sour with hot hot mustard. Shortly after our main dishes were served; shrimp fried rice, kung pow chicken and beef rice noodles. We definitely over ordered. I dug right in and tried the kung pow, it was ok, sadly the dish was a little dry. The noodles seemed to match, also dry. I must say I had higher expectations, the beef that was fried in the noodles was good, it was tender and had a nice peanut smoky flavor. To be honest, I don't think someone can mess up shrimp fried rice, so the shrimp fried rice was cool. One thing that did stand out was at the end of our meal they handed us some fortune cookies, BUT not just regular basic cookies, but one half was dipped in white chocolate. The half dipped fortune cookies warmed my heart. Overall a good spot, along the line of fast food Chinese food, but still satisfying.
Best Chinese Szechuan restaurant in the city! Not only in food the service is top notch number one! If you want to have a good meal what does abnormal, nice kind and friendly Chinese staff, this is the place! Not being racist to just saying that...in most Chinese joints, you don't go there for the service! LOL it's true right?! well, this restaurant breaks that stereotype! They also have a buffet which I have not yet tried but I've heard a lot of good things about it. It's small and selective and essentially is unlike those Chinese buffets you see around town. Instead, this place has food off the menu in the restaurant style cooking. I mean, normal cooking! It's not like they're cutting corners because it's a buffet or anyting. The good thing is that it's a very selective and just a few...maybe about 10 trades worth of food so you know the turnover is constant. Food is not sitting getting stale old or swimming in the oil. take my advice with a grain of salt because I'm not yet tried the buffet but definitely the menu it's great! Especially for this part of town where there is really nothing to compare it to! Which respect! Wo hou xie xie ni na!? Ta men dou hen hou!!! Hen hou chi!!!
Yeh or Meh? Meh. Based on what we picked to eat, I can't honestly recommend this restaurant until I have had other dishes. It honestly wasn't very tasty for us. Maybe an off day but I can't honestly say I enjoyed it. Highlights: Yogurt covered fortune cookies. Yes I find it hilarious that the best part of the meal came at the end. Food ordered: Honey Walnut Shrimp and Orange Chicken. Like I said pretty average as far as these dishes go. Take for example walnut shrimp from Tasty Garden in Arcadia....see that there...that's good shrimp...this sorta paled in comparison. The chicken had a bit of kick but nothing special. I didn't like the way the chicken was cut or battered. I've had good food here and overseas so I know good vs bad chinese food....Grace hated it... Price: About 6-10 bucks a dish..lunch is cheaper....
