Z Pizza - San Diego

This restaurant used to be good, but the quality has really declined. Last week, we received a coupon in the mail, and when we went to pick up our pizza, we were informed that the price was actually $2 higher than what the coupon stated. This felt like a bait-and-switch tactic. We had explicitly mentioned over the phone that we would be using the voucher, but we weren’t made aware of the price change until we arrived to pick up our order. To make matters worse, the pizza was cold, and the cheese was barely melted, while the garlic knots were completely burned. While the $2 difference isn’t a huge issue, it’s frustrating to be misled, especially after receiving the coupon just a week prior. Such unethical behavior is surprising to encounter at a pizza place.

So far, our favorites are the garlic knots (if you can get them, as they tend to sell out), the paprika pizza, and the sausage and mushroom pizza. I can’t wait to try everything else on the menu. I have traveled the whole country and was to many different pizzerias and I have to say that this place has the best garlic knots I ever had. they are served in an aluminum pan with a side of marinara and a few millimetres of olive oil at the bottom for their diving pleasure. I dived between every bite and had olive oil left. that is great too.

Ordered last night was fast service over the phone the guy was right to point but nice about it told me it would be 15 mins got there right at 15 min mark ..he was boxing my last pizza so it was perfect timing. HE asked if i was so and so said yes ..showed me the two pizza's they looked amazing tasted great to..little on high side on price but was worth it.

Give this place a try. Their cakes have a nice sturdy base, which is a hallmark of classic New York-style cakes. I requested the cake to impress me because I thought it resembled my own tastes, and it was absolutely perfect!
