Tajima Ramen House - San Diego

The food here is consistently excellent. I have been coming for many years and have never been disappointed. Service is always great too at least at this location. My kiddo also loves the food here.I witnessed something here where I thought a fellow customer was being really annoying with a request about having separate checks with his dining partner but hadn't specified earlier. The waitress took it all in stride and didn't seem to give any hint of annoyance even though this was very bad etiquette on the customers part and can cause issues with their POS system. A lot of restaurants would just say no to this type of request so just wanted to mention since seemed she really went above and beyond and was still friendly to them. This was a week ago Aug 22nd in evening. Our service and experience was similarly fantastic.Kid-friendliness: The music was loud but not too loud so we could be loud without feeling like we were annoying people. I saw several other people with their little ones there too. My son also loves their food. I don't believe they have children's menu though.

I 've been to Japan and this is the best ramen I 've ever had. I usually get the garlic edamame (which is so amazing it 's almost better than the ramen haha.... Almost) and I 'll follow it up with the classic Tajima '23 ramen which is incredible. The chashu is so succulent and flavorful, the broth and noodles have great taste. Mm mm mm mm mm mm mm mm mm mm. You will not be disappointed.

Great spot to get a super solid bowl of ramen pictured is my bowl of the spicy sesame. Also the garlic edamame was great and had some solid local beers as well. I got the creamy chicken ramen. It was delicious and filling. It came with three pieces of filleted grilled chicken breast. I cleaned the bowl. If you’re really hungry order double noodles. Service was a bit on the slow side to take my order.It’s not a bad place to go to get some good ramen!

The food gave me the runs and stomach ache all night. I had to leave work after an hour of eating
