Sorrento Pizzeria - San Diego

We were seated on a lovely patio and had the pleasure of being served by an exceptional waiter named Fabrizio, who is also a sommelier and recommended the perfect wine for our meal. My parents ordered the cioppino and declared it the best they’ve ever had, while I enjoyed a delicious Bolognese. To start, we were treated to some amazing bread paired with a flavorful pesto dipping sauce. For dessert, we indulged in a delightful cannoli. Having spent time in Little Italy in New York thanks to my dad, we were reminded of those wonderful experiences while dining at Sorrentos. We will certainly be returning! The service from Fabrizio was outstanding, and the food was fantastic.

Yesterday, I ordered the Penne Arrabbiata, and it was absolutely delicious! This restaurant truly captures the essence of authentic Italian cuisine, which I deeply appreciate. We enjoyed our experience so much that we decided to return for dinner again tonight! This evening, I tried the Provolone Calzone, and it was hands down the best calzone I've ever tasted! The talented chef behind these incredible dishes is not only skilled but also charming and funny. The staff, despite being quite busy, are fantastic! Their sense of teamwork and mutual appreciation creates a vibrant yet relaxing atmosphere in this bustling place. I highly recommend checking it out—you won't regret it!

The Italian cuisine here is truly authentic. The patio has a lovely atmosphere, making for a great dining experience. The tiramisu was the best I've ever tasted. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us. I will definitely be returning!
