Having eaten at Greek restaurants before, I can?t compare it to the authenticity. It?s just not the same. But the best example I can give you is that this is Greek version of Chipotle, with a bit pricier menu. Look, you can?t compare Chipotle to authentic Mexican food, but it is good for what it is. Nick the Greek offers big portions, tasty food and a very clean and neatly organized establishment. Their service is good and there is a nice seating area outside as well.Pictured is a falafel bowl and Nick?s fries with lamb gyro.
The gyro pita was delicate and tasteful. do not miss the Greek riders. the molten feta makes the difference. delicious! more casual place to bite in the inner city of san diego.
I ordered the beef and lamb gyro pita and baklava for pickup. First of all, make sure there are NO MAJOR EVENTS downtown because of traffic, closed streets and finding parking is a hassle. Anyways, I go to pick up my order and it was ready. I walk out and realize they forgot my baklava but went back and got it. I get home to eat and realize there's no fries in the gyro. Now in the description says and photo shows that the gyro has fries inside it. No fries. Ugh...the disappointment. The meat was dry kind of salty and there was not enough Tzatziki sauce. The pita was okay ANNNNNND....the baklava wasn't all that! (Snaps fingers). It was $4.75 for one tiny piece!
Amazing portions. small complaint that there was not enough garlic sauce along with the food. The meat was tender, the food was plentiful, and the rice was flavorful. Reasonable prices. Would highly recommend.
