California Pizza Kitchen At Carmel Mtn

I visited the restaurant for a complimentary meal on Veterans Day and ordered the chicken BBQ salad. They offered me avocado for an additional charge, which I accepted. However, the manager stopped by and generously waived the $3 fee. Thank you for your support!

Excellent service, freshly made food, and a great spot for pizza lovers. Today, they even offered gluten-free options!

The pizza was good, but the salad was bitter and contained several spoiled leaves that looked questionable. We weren't given extra plates, so we had to use the bread plates instead. The restaurant also needs some serious renovation; our table was chipped and marred. We dined inside, but a lot of the drapes were missing, leaving many customers exposed to direct sunlight. Our waitress was rather curt with us. I understand she was busy, but she was much friendlier to the customers who were seated after us, engaging in small talk with them. I'm not sure if it was because they were older and she expected larger tips, or if she just knew them. Overall, I don't think I will be returning to this location in the future.

I stopped for lunch at the Carmel Mountain location and was pleasantly surprised by the Buffalo Cauliflower Bites—they were delicious! The way they serve the celery was just right. I also had the chicken club, which was good as well. However, the service could have been better. Despite having many employees around, we hardly saw our server. If we needed any extra sauce for another dish, we had to wait a long time to get assistance. Otherwise, this experience would have earned a fifth star!

The restaurant was bustling. The food was outstanding. Our server was friendly and appeared to be efficient. However, the wait for our food to arrive at the table was excessively long.
