Sweetbeat - San Cristóbal de las Casas

Es un edificio muy hermoso con mucha historia; ¡es muy recomendable!

Sweetbeat is a really relaxing place with large vegan pancakes. like others have commented hc doesn't leave me a 5-star rating for only veg option places. I do not take time to leave reviews for Veg Options anyway, but layla and juan carlos (I hope that I remember correctly, their names are super sweet, welcoming and friendly. I was there about 4 times during my stay in scdlc. also the Spanish talk group was a nice thing they offered. I hope they continue to add vegan options (if sweetbeat could kick the meat that would be the definition of sweet. they could just rename sweetbeet no problemo...I'm digressing. Anyway, go for the pancakes and bring a book to read. sweeet spot.

I had the panini and it was tasty with a side salad too. good portion sizes, a bit on the expensive side. I had the horchata with cacao and it was horrible- easy as water, but terrible, I could not actually drink it.

I ate the gluten-free vegan cheesecake mango taste. it was super delicious! her menu says they have vegan cheese and can veganize some menu items. I will return.
