The staff is really friendly (so bonus star for it) and there are many seats, but Hapas a ghost town, which once was a reliable food icon in the city....

I visited this restaurant for the first time and was disappointed with the cleanliness of the tables. Despite asking the waiter to clean it, the table remained sticky and dirty. We eventually moved to another table, only to find it in a similar condition. The drinks took a long time to arrive, and while waiting for our food, we noticed that the entire place was in need of a deep clean from top to bottom. The restaurant appeared old, outdated, and dirty. Despite the friendly waitress and good food, it seemed like the establishment was being run by young, inexperienced individuals who were not efficient. Growing up in a restaurant, I was taught that a dirty front of house usually indicates a potential for a dirty kitchen as well. Although the food was satisfactory, I would not recommend or return to this restaurant due to the lack of cleanliness and overall poor experience.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. Everything we ordered was incredibly flavorful, absolutely delicious, and the portions were generous. For appetizers, we had the pork sliders with macaroni salad and spam musubi with sausage. The sliders were filled with pork and came with a generous serving of macaroni salad. We also shared the shrimp po boy with fries, which had crispy fries and a delicious slaw and relish. For dessert, we had the bread pudding, which was a large portion served warm with strawberry slices, whipped cream, and a lemon custard. We visited on a Monday night and enjoyed all the happy hour deals, which were a great money saver and allowed us to try more dishes. The food was all amazing and I can't wait to go back!
