Fisherman's Restaurant And Bar San Clemente

They told me that the bar and grill accepted the same menu from the full service restaurant. Turned out that information was inaccurate.. Service was overall rude and untrained. The waitress could not even recommend me a wine for my shrimp. I mean, wow.

Our first time to this restaurant and there was 17 of us. They accommodated us with no problems. The service was Excellent, the food was amazing, and the view was beautiful. It was my mother in laws 91st birthday and they gave her a giant ice cream cake that was to die for. I did not expect that. Thank you for a wonderful Sunday afternoon!

Location of the restaurant does it for me. Six stars. However, the location is not the only thing. Yes, being at the restaurant on the pier is fun but the overall experience should be accompanied by good food and service, and this restaurant delivers on all fronts. We visited this place on a few occasions in the past and always had a great time. This dining experience was the best so far. This time around we enjoyed the Fisherman's Feast option from the menu. It was a four course meal that came with clam or mussel bucket, clam chowders, salad with your choice of dressing, and star of the dinner which was selection of fish or crab. We opted for halibut. Every element of the feast was very good. plenty of clams that tasted great mixed with butter and spicy sauce. regular clam chowder and fisherman's chowder were both delicious. Great textures, seasoning and preparation. I highly recommend either. fresh salad with various greens and dressing of your choice. halibut was cooked perfectly. Nice charring on the outside and moist and glistening flesh inside. This wild caught fish was given full respect and became the star of our meal. cream brûlée was perfect to finish the feast. They caramelised the sugar very well. Nice pairing with strawberries. I will be coming back for sure and recommend this restaurant if you are in the San Clemente area.

I don't normally take the time to write a review, but my husband I had such a wonderful experience at The Fisherman's restaurant, that I must! The hostess let us select our table, which was awesome. Service was quick, polite, and thorough. Honestly, I'm not used to such good service! It was sooo wonderful. The food came quickly it was DELICIOUS. I had the calamari steak my husband had fresh scallops. The hot piping sourdough bread that came with dinner was to die for. Both meals also came with yummy vegetables that were so tasty. Our waiter was amazing sent us home with extra bread. Wow! It was all so enjoyable!!!! A+

The Au-gratin oysters were delish and the sourdough bread was such a scrumptious treat. Our server and every other staff member we encountered was super nice and attentive. We sat outside on a gorgeous day with a view overlooking the ocean and listening to the waves crash onto the shore. I left that place in such a great mood today!
