Whataburger - San Antonio

The service was quick, but the chicken strips were tough and the fries were stale. To make matters worse, the gravy was too watery. Additionally, the girl at the drive-thru barely spoke to me; she just wanted me to hand over my payment and then handed me my card and food without any interaction. I won't be returning to this location. There's another one a bit further away that has better food, and that's where I'll go from now on.

I ordered a certain way my breakfast and was in a rush to get to my appointment on time. Didn?t have time to return but the Manager Monica took care of me a few days later returned. I had pictures but already deleted them. You do need to retain yourreceipt.

As a native Texan, Whataburger feels like my own child, so I have a special fondness for great burgers at reasonable prices. Having worked in electrical services about 25 years ago, I can appreciate the changes made to this particular location, which has been remodeled twice. The latest design is impressive—definitely on the fancier side for San Antonio. As always, the food is fantastic, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is inviting. Some staff even go out of their way to greet you, which is a nice touch.

The food here is consistently good, and I've been a frequent customer at Whataburger for at least 30 years. However, I feel the need to share my experience. During my last couple of visits, the service has been quite lacking. I didn’t receive a simple "Thank You" or an invitation to return, and on my most recent visit, instead of a tray, my food was handed to me in a to-go bag. Do you see the problem? This is the lowest score I’ve ever given Whataburger, so I hope to feel more welcome during my next visit.

I absolutely love Whataburger! While I lived in California, I never had one nearby, so it was my first time trying it when I moved to Texas. The food is not only delicious but also very affordable. The service at this location was outstanding. The staff was professional, energetic, and extremely helpful. I really enjoy the burgers served on sourdough toast, and the fries are also fantastic!
