Wah Kee - San Antonio

This restaurant used to be fantastic, but now it's just disappointing. The food lacks flavor, and they don’t even provide condiments or fortune cookies. My last order was Dan Dan noodles, which were undercooked. It consisted of a few vegetables with a tiny bit of sauce and what looked like raw ramen. My husband’s pork lo mein was also bland. The only highlight was the egg rolls, which were tasty, but they didn’t come with any dipping sauce.

This is a family favorite so I took my mom for an early bird mother/daughter date. They have an awesome early bird menu that is from 3 to 6 every day. The prices are fantastic and the portions are very healthy. The staff here is always so friendly and attentive, we love dining here whenever we get a chance. I got the early bird special the featured the vegetable delight and my mom got the Hunan vegetable dish. You are offered your choice of soup, rice, and an eggroll. I always get their cheese rangoon's because they are housemaid and phenomenal!! The main menu features contemporary Chinese offerings and the back of the menu your given specialty and traditional, Cantonese/Chinese offerings. The lighting is dim and it's always very quiet so it's the perfect setting for a date or just a nice casual meal. The restrooms are always very clean and I would highly recommend!

I have been going to WahKee since I was located off Bitters rd and even now at the location off Blanco. I remember going when I was pregnant with my son and he's almost 23 now. They have the best lomein hands down in San Antonio. Love the food and the atmosphere. I live in Universal City and will drive over there just to get food. Thanks for all the years of great food and amazing customer service.

This place is great! I ordered the beef fried rice, and it was delicious. They have a beautiful silver fish in a tank that really caught my attention—I couldn't stop looking at it. The staff mentioned that it's quite an expensive fish.

I ordered this through Uber Eats, and the food was prepared quickly and was bursting with flavor. Each dish presented its own distinct taste. The Hunan chicken had a mild spiciness, though I wished it had a bit more kick. The hot and sour soup was excellent and just the right size for one (small). The fried rice was also delicious. I appreciate that each main dish comes with a choice of fried rice or white rice, which eliminates the need to order rice separately. Just a heads up: if you're getting this delivered, they don’t include any utensils.
