The Growler Exchange - San Antonio

I recently stopped by for a couple of beers and decided to try their pizzas. The Sweet Meats is essentially a meat lover's pizza enhanced with chili oil, while the Texas Twinkie features a deconstructed brisket jalapeño popper on a pizza. Both were generously topped and packed with flavor, delivering quite a spicy kick! Luckily, they have a wide selection of beers on tap to help cool your palate. On a previous visit, I also tried their pretzel, which was quite impressive. This place is definitely worth a visit for a drink and a tasty bite, and I’m already planning my next trip!

I ordered two pizzas and a beer at the counter. After waiting 30 minutes and seeing two other orders come out, I asked about our food. It turned out that our ticket had been misplaced. Fifteen minutes later, and after two more orders, our pizzas finally arrived. We were offered a 10% discount for the inconvenience. The pizzas were excellent, and there was a nice variety of beer options.

This is undoubtedly the top taproom in the city. They consistently offer an impressive variety of craft beers, and their selection of cans is exceptional. The service is friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the food is excellent as well. Food rating: 5/5.
