Takikos Taco Stop - San Antonio

This place has been open for a year and we finally decided to stop in for dinner and try it out, so happy we did!! This place was so good and extremely affordable. Staff was very nice and helped us select a good combination on our food choices. Very clean atmosphere, food was fresh and homemade and green Chile at the bar area was amazing! Will definitely be coming back for lunch or dinner. Adding this place to our neighborhood favorite!

Excellent service and great food. Everything is made on the spot. Ordered Tinga de pollo , beef and nopalitos. Only finished chicken and beef i couldn't pull through eating the nopalitos but got it to go. They taste really good and rice is authentic mexican rice rather than tomatoe paste and such like other restaurants use. Over all i recommend this place and will definetly be back.

The food was alright, nothing spectacular or something I couldn?t recreate at home. You walk up to a small counter and the menu is there, I guess if you know what you want, it?s easy. This was my first time ever to this restaurant and I mentioned that to the cashier and she said nothing. No welcome in, no suggestions, nothing. So I picked something I saw a photo of, it looked like a burrito but it?s called a Burriko on the menu. Again, the food was okay. It was just a large flour tortilla stuffed with refried beans, pulled chicken, lettuce tomato and sour cream. And tossed on the flat top for a few minutes. The salsa or hot sauce was decent. I tried both the red and green. They had a nice heat level to them. I asked for a small dish or plastic cup so I could pour the salsa in and use it as a dip. She said they didn?t have any, so I used the corner of my tray for the sauce which caused the paper to tear and create a mess lol. I probably won?t return but it was an okay quick lunch! This was our first time eating here. We ordered the Asada quesadilla and the burrito al pastor combo. The meat had good flavor to it and was seasoned very well. The red and green salsa were also very good. They had a good heat to them but were very flavorful. The price was also very inexpensive compared to other places that serve similar food. My wife and I really enjoyed it there and we will be back to try their tacos.

Food is good but not great, it's saved for the hand style made corn tortillas. Nice place, aguas frescas must improve.
