At first you might be apprehensive given the location and just because it doesn't look all flashy and trendy like all the places these days. FOOD IS AMAZING! Ricotta salad, Mexican street corn, japache, chicken on a stick and the chicken and waffle. We will definitely be back!
Delicious!!!! The shrimp was fantastic. Dessert of churro bread pudding is a must try.
A true fusion restaurant, worth coming to try the food. A lot of potential, I would like to try more of their offerings. This time I had the roasted corn, smashed cucumbers, tacos, polenta pork belly, and dessert. Everything was plated with care, and gave the impression the chef cared about what he was putting in front of you. Staff said they have outgrown their location and are looking for a more suitable place to move to, and it shows. The local and decor do not match the effort and care they put into the food; but it’s hard to blame them when they are actively looking to change that. Will definitely be back, especially when they move to their new location, and I am interested to try their other offerings
I returned to this restaurant for the second time and once again had an amazing experience. The family that owns and operates this place is incredibly kind. It is a must-visit if you are in San Antonio. I regret not trying it during my last visit to the city, as everything we sampled was delicious. As a self-proclaimed food aficionado with discerning tastes, I was thoroughly impressed with the flavorful dishes. The corn was my favorite, perfectly cooked and paired with a delightful sauce. The cheesy polenta was outstanding. The only suggestion I have is to possibly serve a thicker cut of pork belly, braised and finished on the grill, although it was still very tasty. Our server was also very attentive and pleasant.
We sampled a variety of dishes at the restaurant and were very impressed. The Sticky Sticky Ribs were amazing, a perfect blend of sweet and spicy flavors. The Chef's Skewer trio featuring chicken, beef, and pork belly was also delicious, with the pork belly being a standout. The Grilled stone fruit with Honey Ricotta Salad was exceptionally tasty, while the Smashed cucumbers with sesame ginger dressing were cool and refreshing. Moving on to the entrees, the Big Red Barbacoa Taco Flight was good, with a flavorful filling despite the okay tortilla. The Sesame Chicken delight was the best I've ever had, with tender and crispy chicken and a delicious sauce. The pork belly with cheesy polenta was my least favorite, as I wasn't a fan of the polenta, but my sister loved it. We were too full to finish everything, including the Churro Bread Pudding with Horchata Mousse and Caramel Sauce, which was another hit. Kudos to Chef Leo and his team, we will definitely be returning, especially for the ribs and sesame chicken. Give this place a try!
