South Flo Pizza In H-e-b - San Antonio

This tiny market had some excellent choices for a fast shopping trip, near the Riverwalk. The Aisles were tiny and the place was very crowded. The parking lot was small and almost full. The prices were high, including gas. Deli food and fruit were good and there was a good choice of wine. There was no Blue Bell Ice Cream in the store!

This is in a mini HEB! Looks great. Friends claim it's one of the best pizza spots in town.

There are areas for process improvement when it comes to ordering and maintaining a pizza from here. We came to this HEB three times, and each time we ordered a South Flo pizza. When we have ordered, they give us a timeline that always takes 25 to 30 minutes longer than what it takes to get the pizza. When our names are called via the intercom to get our pizza, it is obvious that the pizza has been sitting out for some time and is cold when we get it. The gentleman who works there with glasses and did not wear his name badges today seemed to be confused and did not seem to pay attention because he ignored us and then gave us an inflated time by half an hour for how long it would take to get a pizza and then prioritize the phone over us.

Wonderful pizza! I had the peperoni with black olives, mushrooms and light on the sauce. It could have been cooked for longer, but that's on me... it was the first time she had her pizza. So if you like your pizza crispy, let them know.

I already love shopping and working for H?E?B but now I have another reason to love them. Whoever came up with this idea is a genius! Some of the best pizza I?ve had in a while and it was less than $12 for an XL specialty pizza.
