Saffron Persian Cuisine - San Antonio

The portion sizes were generous, and most of the dishes had a decent flavor. The chicken kebabs were especially tender. Normally, I love the kubideh, but this one had a slightly bitter taste and wasn't as juicy as I've had elsewhere. On the other hand, the lamb was very juicy and tender. They do have a somewhat limited menu due to Covid. The service was good, and the ambiance was pleasant too.

The restaurant was quite empty when I visited, but the food was absolutely delicious! It was my first time there, and the server took the time to explain each dish on the menu. I can't recall the names of the dishes, but the flavors were impressive—there wasn't a single dish I disliked. The stew had a mild bitterness that was perfectly balanced by the rice. My chicken was juicy and full of flavor. I also tried an eggplant dish that came with pita bread, but it was so good that I ended up enjoying it on its own. The service was prompt, and the presentation of each dish was stunning! If you're looking to try something new, you won't be disappointed by the variety of dishes they offer!

This family-owned restaurant offers generous portions and incredibly tasty dishes. The Vaziri plate resembles a small buffet, and the rice is absolutely delightful.

First authentic Persian restaurant in San Antonio! We have been waiting for this place for quite a while. The food was hot, tasty, and absolutely homemade. I highly recommend the lamb shank! My only critique is that the restaurant was really quiet (could use some music and we were not offered fresh bread or sabzi that is customary for most Persian restaurants. Either way I will definitely be coming back!
