Magnolia Pancake Haus - San Antonio

My group was denied seating because one of us was a couple of minutes late. We ended up waiting an additional 20 minutes. I've never encountered such a strict policy at the other restaurants I visit. The food was generally good, but the avocado I ordered wasn’t ripe. The noise level in the restaurant was quite high as well. You have to pay at the front, which means standing in line twice to settle your bill. Management could make some simple adjustments to significantly improve the dining experience here.

If you're looking for a great breakfast or brunch spot in San Antonio, this is the place to go! They serve the best grits I've ever had! Highly recommended!

The food was exceptional, cooked to perfection, and the portions were generous without being excessive. I highly recommend trying the Apfel Pfannekuchen; it is loaded with apples, so if you're not a fan, you might want to skip it. This dish is definitely meant for sharing—two or three people can easily enjoy it, especially after a hearty meal. Their coffee is also fantastic! Seriously, someone should give Starbucks some pointers (my wife loves them, but I'm not a fan). Starbucks seems to mask poor coffee with sugar, syrup, and whipped cream, while here you’ll find well-crafted brews. Overall, Magnolia is a must-try. If I had to mention one minor complaint, it would be that they could use a bit more salt in their dishes (like eggs, hash browns, and grits). But that’s a very small issue in an otherwise excellent dining experience. You really have to check this place out!

I had lunch with a friend today at MPH. I hadn't been before since I heard they were always crazy busy at breakfast time, but I see why! I ordered the ham cheese sammy and my friend had some avocado toast and a side of eggs. My food was so fresh and delicious, served with strawberries. I also ordered orange juice, which was fresh and delicious as well. The service was quick and the atmosphere pleasant. Would definitely eat here again!
