Kona Grill North Star - San Antonio

My family ordered the salmon with fried rice and it was beyond salty. eating is overpriced and it was a scandal that the presentation was good, but the execution of the shurr was terrible. also they had a dj for new years and it was so loud. we spent about 260$ and I felt like the restaurant was too casual for the prices. Maybe if they had better cooks, I would be ok, but I felt like I was eating mcdonalds pommes with extra salt.

The portions are very small, especially rolling. I have to order fried rice twice because it was not well cooked.

It was a fantastic experience at the silvester and a great place to bring 2023. the food was excellent. the service was on the spot. the manager was very accommodating and welcomed everyone. the dj held it live and festive. this is definitely one of the best experiences we had and we will be back.

Had A 9 pm reservation. Got sat at 915. Ordered quickly after. 2 burgers and the sliders (3 of us). Keep it simple. Put in the order at 920. Didn’t get the food til 10:50/1055pm. More than an hour and a half later. We stayed and waited because we almost wanted to see how ridiculous it got after each minute passed. My dad’s Girlfriend on her way back from the restroom was told by an employee that 4 people called in. One walked out and that the manager left one hour before that. What ?!?!?!?!?! Not one single time did I see a manager come to a table and apologize for the wait we weren’t offered a couple of complimentary desserts or nothing! We don’t care about discounts or anything free. It’s the fact that no one there who was a manager came to any of the tables and kept it honest with us. A manager at the Host Stand should’ve told the employees To tell the customers before they get seated to expect food to take 1hr to 1 and a half hours. BEFORE YOU SEAT THEM!!! Then those who want to wait will stay. Others will leave instead. You HAVE TO STOP THE BLEEDING on a sinking ship. You have to know when to stop reservations or walk-ins. You knew by 830/845 it was gunna be a tough ending and that’s when y’all should’ve stopped everything and stop taking more reservations. But no. You all got greedy and just kept taking as many people as possible. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THAT PLACE!!!! In addition to all this the restaurant was a Complete Dump. It was filthy. It was disgusting and VERY DIRTY!!!
