Freebirds World Burrito - San Antonio

While I'm less than thrilled that freebirds keeps making changes to everything, first the cayenne tortilla, then the shredded cheese, even the steak and chips and queso ...the location itself does normally serve good food. This is one of the few locations I've gone to that the rice is always cooked all the way through and even delivery orders are always right and in the right proportions. I was taking out some locally based coworkers out to lunch and one of them suggested Freebirds. He told me the idea behind it and it made me think 'Oh, like Chipotle? ' Sure, they 're similar, in the same way that Blockbuster and Netflix lets you rent movies. Freebirds has way more choices from start to finish. First, there 's the size options from a 1/2 size to a monster double size. They had some special protein options to so it doesn 't get a monotonous and the veggie options are almost too much. Oh, did I mention the cauliflower rice option? On top of that their chips and queso are pretty friggin ' delicious-they 're both lighter in texture but pretty delicious. The additional options does mean that your food could end up with a pretty pricey meal but it 's a premium that 's worth it.

This location is nice and clean, the staff is friendly. I like the variety of tortillas that they have, the vegan options and the many sauces and dressings. This is great for a quick bite, if you're starving you'll have a plate of good food in front of you in no time. I love the bowls but the burritos are great also. Freebies size is more than enough for me but you can get Monster size for your bowl or burrito for only $3 more! Seems like a steal to me.

Walked in and wasn't acknowledged. Looked at the food that was available to choose from and all was old and cold. The black beans were not cooked and were hard as rock. Half of my burrito had all the protein and other half had nothing but lettuce, rice and hard beans. Workers also did not take the time and were throwing the food at the tortilla. I DO NOT recommend!!!! No flavor, hard beans, and $40 for 2 burritos is just ridiculous. I don't care to pay that amount if it's worth it, this is nowhere near worth it!!

Chipotle is better this taste like doo doo it's nasty but the people are nice the price is not good bit even chips with it but it did not fill me up the size could of been better
