Francesco's Gelato - San Antonio

We tried the pineapple, creamy mango, dark chocolate, and hazelnut gelato flavors and they were good. We weren?t as big of a fan of the pina colada drink though, as it had a taste that wasn?t quite what we expected. Overall, we most appreciated the locationof Francesco?s Gelato, as we were craving something cold and sweet after visiting the Alamo and walking outside in the hotsummer temperature for a while, so its proximity was convenient.

We walked 1/2 mile and arrived at 6:40 and were refused service despite the advertised closing at 7pm. The employee said she was no longer serving gelato. I even told her we specifically walked that far and still she would not serve us. If you want greatservice go to RIVER STREET SWEETS, SAVANNAH'S CANDY KITCHEN in the Mall. We arrived there at 6:55 and they were happy to haveour business, and it was delicious.

The staff seemed like they didnt like their job. The one lady that served the ice cream was really nice though. The coffee ice cream is insanely good!

We hardly go to town after walking in this heat we saw the ice cream and it looked good. We walked in, they were 3 young girls working on 8/20/22 at 2:45pm, we were trying to get someone to help us but all 3 of them were by the grill chatting away. Theytold us we had to come to that side and pay first before we get the ice cream. Most of all it felt like we were bothering themso we walked out. I would not recommend this place, no manners and respect for customers. Hope they?ll clean up the funk smellthat you first get when walking in.

It's (conveniently) situated on the pretty canal walk. Prices are reasonable but I could take or leave the hot food. The real winner is their gelato as a refresher on a warm day. Inside is pretty cramped and the line to place your order is right in the middle of the only walkway to get into the indoor sit-down area. Patio's where it is at though. Much more seating outside.
